Our team along with MDCPS kicked-off another GOB project for a new K-8 Center in West Kendall. Zyscovich and our team were commissioned to deliver phase I of Kendall Square K-8 Center. Phase I consisted of a new 58,765 SF, two-story facility which houses 750 student stations and includes: classrooms, labs, student and staff restrooms, media center with media production lab, digital iTV and CCTV, Administrative Area, full-production kitchen and serving areas accommodating 1,200 student stations, interior dining area, music lab/performance platform, P.E. shelter, primary and kindergarten play areas, parent and bus drop-offs and covered walkways, staff and visitor parking, service yard, landscaping, drainage and irrigation systems, perimeter fencing, and a marquee sign. The type of construction was type 2B, tilt-up, concrete, exterior wall panels and precast concrete framing, along with site improvements and utility infrastructure.
