On November 6, 2012, Miami-Dade County Public Schools asked county voters to invest in their schools by approving the issuance of a $1.2 billion General Obligation (GO) Bond for renovating facilities, updating technology, building school replacements, expanding student capacity, and enhancing facility safety. The community let their voices be heard, and nearly 70% of those voting supported the measure.
Renovations completed by us on this property via their Go-Bond Program which included:
Replacement/repair 8,700 square-feet of concrete walkways
Replacement of 6 basketball standards
Replacement of kindergarten play equipment
Demolition of 2 portables and cap utilities
Drainage remediation at courtyard between buildings 1 and 3
New covered walkway connector from elementary school to middle school campus
New covered walkway connector from building 7 to building 9
Repair 1,400 square feet of exterior concrete flooring at P.E. shelter
Complete remodeling of restrooms with associated plumbing at 4 group restrooms and 13 individual restrooms
