Estimators

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years construction estimating experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of estimating processes, technology and related software
  • Experience using OnScreen Take-off and Smart Bid
  • Thorough understanding of trades, scopes, timelines, scheduling/sequencing of work
  • Strong communication, presentation, and computer skills
Senior/Lead Estimator

Senior/Lead Estimator will generate and manage estimates required for sales, pre-construction and bidding efforts. Provide estimates, budget control and studies for projects and potential projects during business development, pre-construction and construction phases of a project and across all scopes, systems, and assemblies. Estimates vary from conceptual to full guarantee maximum price estimates to lump sum bids. Ability to complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines in commercial and multi-family projects including, but not limited to civil and site work, structural, concrete, building skin, finishes, mechanical, and electrical.

Director of Preconstruction

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project manager(s) to develop and maintain pre-construction and construction estimates.
  • Lead project lump sum bidding process.
  • Build estimates based on a practical understanding of design, constructability, logistics, sequencing and means and methods of a project.
  • Estimator will be a key collaborator for new and existing subcontractor relationships for estimating, bidding and project award.
  • Prepare estimate presentations, special studies, budget control reports and estimating documents for projects and client presentations.
  • Understanding of market labor, and commodity conditions and impacts on construction costs.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, and problem solving skills; good communication skills; and be organized, efficient and responsive to deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities prioritizes his or her responsibilities accordingly depending on volume of work.
  • Must be highly proficient with interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Must be having good communication and interpersonal qualities.
  • Able to work as a team leader to motivate in a high energy and sense of urgency environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in pre-construction and estimating on commercial construction projects
  • Having LEED AP / LEED AP BD+C Certification is a plus
  • Possess good organizational and management skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to estimate all aspects of a commercial construction project, assemble into one budget, and present to owners.
  • Must be able to view things from a construction business owner’s perspective and present accordingly.
  • Strong construction computer software skills including the ability to use construction estimating software, scheduling, bid management, online plan rooms and database applications.

Requirements:

  • Primavera and MS Project software experience

Project Managers

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of related construction field experience with Tilt-up Construction and mid-rise buildings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or applicable discipline
  • Thorough knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities, field engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and project management
  • Lead and Communicate with Link staff, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain and exceed the project schedule
  • Manage a project from Buy-out thru Project Completion independently while reporting directly to the Vice Presidents
  • Work closely with clients, owners, architects and subcontractors to develop relationships that exceed the client and Link’s expectations
  • Maintain and manage the purchase and delivery schedules, change order processes, shop drawings, document control, and Owner, Architect and Subcontractor correspondence
  • Maintain accurate documentation while leading all schedule and management meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project
  • Produce thorough financial forecasts which identify potential exposures and maintain the forecasting schedule for on-time delivery of forecasts
  • Excellent business judgment to achieve profitability objectives while maintaining the high levels of delivery standards and requirements
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and initiative capable to quickly study and react to issues as they arise
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently and decisively respond to situations or events
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail evidenced by a strong command of all applicable contract and legal provisions
  • Ability to consistently analyze and execute financial trade-offs which frequently involve dealing with incomplete data and ambiguity
  • Ability to constantly multi-task and handle competing priorities between LiNK’s business needs, organizational issues, and sound customer relations
  • Primavera and MS Project software proficiency
  • Strong communication, presentation, and computer skills
  • Knowledge of Procore preferred
